Hi guys!
I had my kids painting on canvas since they were very little, it all started with Jack playing more with my paintbrushes and my tubs of paint instead of his toys on the baby play mat ( I used to put him next to me when I was painting). One day I decided to give it a try, I put him some old clothes and I let him play with paint, rolls, sponges, there was paint everywhere!!!...and he loved it!!! At the end I just took him fully clothed straight to the bathtub...
By the time he could walk, he had me as his assistant, the fact that he was not talking yet wasn't a problem, he made me understand when his hands needed to be cleaned, when he needed to have an other color and so on... Let's say that this period the only time that I could paint was when he was napping!!!...

Now the years have passed and they might not paint as much as before (so many others thing they love to do!!!) But when they do...
I used to have a workshop at Lil'Dreys called "Paint after a famous artist", it had a lot of succes, kids would try Miro, Kandinsky, Arcimboldo, Seurat... and make it their own version.

After a little while I couldn't help noticing that Van Gogh work was the most picked by the children and there are some other work...

| Emma Rose, she worked during 8 months every Monday, and she delivered a beautiful Starry Night. |

Tallulah working on her Room at Arles, this painting had so many layers, it is a breathtaking painting!!!
After my laptop got stolen, unfortunately, I lost the picture of the finished artwork, but hopefully, I'll get a photo from her mom soon!!! |
And now I'll present you my Jack's work, he started after Emma Rose, they became really friends and decided to work on the same subject. It took Jack around 4 months working on his once a week.

Of course, his sister wanted to help Jack with his painting... So she started her own...

Jack was so thrilled to be able to see the real painting at the MoMa in New York, he was really surprise how small it was though!!!
